The Navy Is Making Port in Sea Cliff

It’s time to roll out the “red sand” and welcome 26 Naval Cadets and 4 coaches to the Sea Cliff Yacht Club for the 41st ALIR.  The United States Naval Academy is sending two boats, the Apollo and the Wahoo, with a full crew to sail in this year’s race. The teams will arrive Monday, July 24th and depart for the start of the race on Wednesday, July 26th.  The teams will return on Friday night/Saturday morning and stay overnight Saturday night before departing on Sunday, July 30th. We are asking members to volunteer and “house” the Middies while they are here. Accommodations are needed for Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Please sign up by emailing or signing the list at the bar at the Club. Let us know if you can house 2 to 4 Middies for these nights.
