Trim the Tree Dinner

Despite the pandemic we have begun our Holiday Celebrations. We had a COVID max capacity Trim the Tree Dinner last Friday. It was a great way to enjoy a wonderful meal and friendly service.

The pandemic actually did some good because we could not gather on the dance floor at a safe distance so our carolers serenaded us from their tables and gave us the best performance in years as almost everyone in the room was singing away.

Our traditional singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas also was a hit! Each table in the room had a day to sing and everyone participated. It was just heartwarming to see a little celebrating in this difficult time. There was a surprise ending to the song when the last verse, “A Partridge in a Pear Tree” was replaced with the words “Our First Female Commodore”. It got a great response from the crowd.
