Founded in 1892, Sea Cliff Yacht Club is one of the oldest private member-only Yacht Clubs on Long Island Sound. Our Members enjoy social activities, yachting and aquatic sports. Our family-friendly atmosphere, and prime location on Long Island Sound, provides opportunities to enjoy our exceptional dining facilities, sunny pool, sandy beach, and year-round social activities. Our programs engage Members of all ages and skill levels. The Club has a strong culture of volunteerism, led by the elected Flag and Board under the terms of the Club’s constitution. A message from the Commodore Keith E. Maler, Commodore Sea Cliff Yacht Club As we near the close of another successful season at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club, I’d like to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to our entire Board of Governors. Each of you has contributed your time, energy, and expertise to ensure that our club remains strong, vibrant, and true to its mission. This year was marked by steady financial performance and a conservative approach that aligns with our long-term goals. By exercising fiscal discipline while still enhancing the member experience, we’ve ensured that SCYC remains well-positioned for the future — both operationally and financially. Thank you to our Treasurer and Finance Committee for keeping us on course. Our Junior Sailing program once again shined this summer. The enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and skill of our young sailors are a reflection of the dedication of our instructors, parents, and volunteers. The Summer Camp and Swim Team also had outstanding seasons, with full participation, high energy, and countless smiling faces on the pool deck. Together, these programs continue to make SCYC the family-oriented club we all value — one that offers something for every generation. Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for another great Frostbiting season, where the fun, challenge, and camaraderie continue long after summer ends. It’s one of the best reminders that SCYC is truly a year-round boating community. As we plan for the year ahead, we’ll need all hands on deck in two key areas:
At its core, Sea Cliff Yacht Club remains a family-focused club centered on boating, camaraderie, and the enjoyment of our pool and waterfront. Together, we’ve built an environment that honors tradition while embracing the future. Thank you all for your continued commitment and for making this an exceptional year at SCYC. I look forward to seeing everyone on the water — or by the fireplace — as we close out the season and look ahead to even greater things to come. Keith E. Maler Commodore, Sea Cliff Yacht Club
